Adsorption Dryers

SDD Series

The compressed air produced by compressors contains a significant amount of water, oil, and other impurities. The entry of water vapor into compressed air lines can cause oxidation, corrosion, and damage to industrial equipment. In this context, controlling the humidity level and achieving a low dew point play a key role in increasing equipment lifespan and improving the performance of pneumatic systems.

The maximum water vapor density in any gas depends on its temperature and pressure. When the humidity level at a specific temperature and pressure reaches the saturation point, that temperature is known as the dew point. If the air temperature drops below this value, the water vapor in the air condenses into water droplets, leading to problems such as equipment damage. Adsorption dryers with dew points between -20°C and -70°C provide an effective solution for removing moisture and ensuring optimal performance of production lines.

How Adsorption Dryers Work

In this system, the compressed air first enters a tower containing desiccant materials (drying agents) where its moisture is absorbed. After a while, the desiccant materials become saturated, and the intelligent control system (PLC) directs the air to the second tower to continue the dehumidification process. Simultaneously, the desiccant materials in the first tower are regenerated and prepared for the next cycle. This process results in continuous and effective dehumidification with optimized energy consumption.

Support

For the maintenance and upkeep of adsorption dryers, please observe the following:

  • Conduct periodic inspections by the technical team to review the overall performance of the device and identify potential problems early.
  • Periodically check the device’s solenoid valves to prevent serious failures and blockages, ensuring proper system operation.
  • Over time, desiccant materials absorb moisture and may lose their effectiveness. Therefore, periodically checking the condition of these materials and replacing or regenerating them according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually every three years) is essential.
  • Accurately recording all maintenance operations with the date and details of the action taken greatly assists in the optimal management of device maintenance and planning for parts replacement.
